On Friday night, the whole family came for dinner. Jim's parents were in town from Deep Creek Lake, MD so it was great to see them too.
On Saturday, we had fun playing here at my parents' house, we went to Tyson's Corner to Build-a-Bear, out to lunch at Noodles & Co., to Avery's and Chris' baseball games, and finally topped the evening off with a family date night at Fairfax Corner. We ate at Potbelly Sandwich (yum) and then the kids went for an unplanned dip in the fountains. Hayden rode home commando and Katie only had pants. Between them both I would've had a complete outfit. Next time, I will be prepared and won't have to dry them off with paper towels from the car!
Sunday morning, we went to church and lunch with Jim's parents, then back to my parents' for more play time, a bike ride with the new bike Pop got for Hayden, and another whole family dinner in the evening. The weekend went by a little too fast, but man - we are so thankful to have had this unexpected visit 2 months into our 8 month separation. Thank you to all who prayed for this to happen. It was a very memorable Memorial Day weekend for us.
sooooooooooo glad prayers were answered and you were able to spend time with Jim!! now when do i get to see you??
